About Me

As a photographer, my earlier work focused on the people and vast landscapes of my home of Labrador. I was especially drawn to the Torngat Mountains, and indeed all of coastal Labrador. Photography helped connect me to both sides of my family, and I continue to explore these personal bonds and more as I pursue new knowledge and disciplines at NSCAD University in Kjipuktuk-Halifax.

I made the Nunatsiavut and Labrador images between 2006-2016. Most of the remaining images have been made since then, while traveling with my wife.

On Exhibition

I am proudly part of the group exhibition Inuit Sanaugangit (pronounced sa-now-gan-eet or sa-now-gah-knee), at the Winnipeg Art Gallery - Qaumajuq. On until March 1, 2025, the title translates to "art by Inuit".

Some of my work was included in SakKijâjuk (pronounced sak-KEE-eye-ook) 2016-2020, an exhibition featuring Labrador Inuit artists. It traveled across Canada, including stops at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, the Winnipeg Art Gallery, The Rooms, and Regina's Mackenzie Art Gallery.

In addition, another image was included in the April 2018 Indigenous exhibition Reclamation at Government House in St. John's, NL.

Another pair of my images circled the globe as part of a group exhibition at universities and Canadian embassies worldwide (curated by Canadian Geographic) titled Canada's Arctic: Vibrant and Thriving.

As one half of a two-person exhibition, nine images spent 2013-2015 on display in various museums and galleries in Newfoundland & Labrador.

In 2013, two of my images were exhibited at the Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada Art Gallery, Ottawa, Ontario as part of the National Art Centre's Northern Scene Art Festival.
